Rohet historical places

Rohet historical places

The jagir of Rohet came into being in the 17th century, and what was then the fort of Rohet is now a heritage property. Part of it, however, is still home to the family of Rohet, a fief of the kingdom of Jodhpur. Set right next to a beautiful lotus-filled pond, and replete with bougainvillea bushes, this is the place to visit if you are looking for a quiet holiday.
Sightseeing Places in Rohet Hotel Rohet Garh
The Hotel Rohet Garh offers luxurious rooms with good views of the lake, the swimming pool or the splendid manicured lawns of the fort. The well-furnished halls, the breezy verandahs and the open terrace overlooking the lake add to the charm of the place. The delicate archways and the clusters of neem trees, the drawing room with the wooden ceiling, and the breezy verandahs are all enchanting. A quiet dinner by the pool offers romance in a fairy-tale beautiful setting.

The hotel organizes jeep, camel and horse safaris to the village of Bishnois and craftsmen. The half-day camel safari includes a picnic lunch, and is only conducted if there is a group of five to six people. The horse safari could be a 2-hr ride in the morning or evening, or a full-day ride with a picnic lunch, or even an overnight safari with a night stay in the desert.
