Narlai historical places

Tucked away between Jodhpur and Udaipur, this is the heart of equestrian Rajasthan, and Narlai village is unlike anything you’re likely to find in this most touristy of states. There is foreshadowing of a perfect holiday – beautiful Marwari horses and Rawla Narlai, an old palace that hasn’t been completely given up to the gods of commerce. As with everything else here, the story of the Marwari horse is part history and part folklore.

Famous Excursions From Narlai Ranakpur
Set in a secluded, wooded valley of the Aravalli Hills, the 15th century Ranakpur temple complex, dominated by the great Adinath Temple, is one of the five great holy places of the Jain faith. The grand scale and sheer architectural complexity of the white marble temple distinguish it as perhaps the single most impressive example of Western Indian temple architecture. The temple has an unusual four-sided plan with four separate entrances.
